Recently, the New York Public Library has gone above and beyond its role as a place to borrow books. In 2017, it transformed an underground train into a “Subway Library.” Earlier this year, it started facilitating free museum admission. And now, it’s helping people dress up for job interviews with its “work fashion library.”

Listen beautiful relax classics on our Youtube channel.

The library’s Grow Up program lets teenagers and adults check out accessories that will help them look and feel their best on all kinds of big days. It offers ties, briefcases, and purses for interviews, auditions, and other important meetings, as well as bowties for formal events, like graduations, proms, and weddings.

To use this service, you simply need to pop by the library’s Riverside branch and speak to a librarian. As long as you have low ($15 or less) or no fines to your name, you’re free to borrow these accoutrements for a one-time, three-week period.

In addition to ties and bags, the Riverside library also offers career-related resources, including information sheets featuring job interview tips, as well as recommended reading for those seeking more advice on how to dress for success.
