Nike collaborates with Miniwiz to create biodegradable shoe container made from recycled milk jugs and coffee lids

It has been 30 years since the Air Max 1 completely changed the sneaker game and now, Nike has once again proven themselves to be the most innovative when it comes to the sneaker industry. In collaboration with Taipei-based engineering firm Miniwiz, they are transforming the cardboard shoe box storage design for their shoes into a modular, recyclable one.

The new box, which is intended for the NikeLab Air Max 1 Royal, will be made of recycled milk jugs, containers, and coffee lids. Arthur Huang, CEO of Miniwiz, says that “these are all intentional features and qualities which revolve around the intent of every Miniwiz product – reducing the impact on the environment in every way it can.”
