“One Hand Clapping” explores our changing relationship with the future through newly commissioned works by five artists: Cao Fei, Duan Jianyu, Lin Yilin, Wong Ping, and Samson Young. Using new and traditional materials, ranging from virtual reality technology to oil on canvas, these artists challenge visions of a global, homogeneous, and technocratic future.
“One Hand Clapping” is the third and final exhibition of The Robert H. N. Ho Family Foundation Chinese Art Initiative. The exhibition is on view at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York from May 4 to October 21, 2018. Learn more at guggenheim.org/onehandclapping.
