Only the photos remain from these beautiful outdoor sculptures

New Zealand-based environmental artist Martin Hill creates artworks with materials that he describes as coming from the earth and returning to the earth. Hill has worked in collaboration with Philippa Jones since 1992. Recently, the duo exhibited their works in Beijing, China under the title Temporal Landscapes.

Using these works to address environmental issues and sustainability concepts, the sculptures themselves are just the beginning. “I believe art can help trigger this change and inspire us to look at problems as opportunities for innovation from which multiple beneficial outcomes increase well-being for all,” says Hill.
