BRIC – 2024–25 BRIClab Residencies

Brooklyn Museum – Museum Education Fellowship Program (MEFP)
For 10 months, young professionals will be paid to participate in rigorous museum education training and complete a research project in museum education theory and practice. They will also receive in-depth fieldwork teaching experience.

Fire Island Artist Residency
Emerging LGBTQIA+ visual artists share a live/work space in Cherry Grove, New York, for four weeks of studio visits and lectures by leaders in contemporary art, scholarship, activism, and curation. The fee to apply is $40.

Matthew Strother Center for The Examined Life – Residency Programs
Up to five individuals will spend 10 fully subsidized days in residence in a low-technology environment in Catskill, New York. Residents will participate in two hours of labor per day and take part in communal meals and activities.

New Curators 2024–25
Based in London, this paid 12-month curatorial training program is intended to support aspiring contemporary art curators from lower socioeconomic backgrounds. Open to applicants in the UK and around the world.

New York Public Library – Picture Collection Artist Fellowship
Artists or scholars are invited to engage in the research, development, and execution of a new work based on the NYPL’s Picture Collection. Stipends are awarded on a sliding scale of $2,000 to $5,000.

Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts & Sciences, New Jersey – 35 Under 35
Artists aged 18–35 who are based in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, or New York can apply to this juried competition and exhibition. The juror is Ruba Katrib, Curator & Director of Curatorial Affairs at MoMA PS1. The application fee is $35 for three entries.

Long Beach Island Foundation of Arts & Sciences – Works on Paper

Smack Mellon – Spiral Time

The NEA’s largest grants program for organizations provides expansive project-based funding opportunities to strengthen the arts and culture ecosystem in the US. Grants range from $10,000 to $100,000.

National Sculpture Society – Augusta Savage Grant
Emerging sculptors who self-identify as Black or African American are invited to apply for this unrestricted $2,500 award for excellence in sculpture. Applicants must be US citizens or residents with a social security number. Works inspired by nature are preferred.
