Seeking instructors for September 2023. University Open Air gives immigrant teachers who were trained outside of the US a space to share their expertise at free classes outside the Prospect Park Boathouse.

Dedalus Foundation – Senior Fellowship in Art History
This program supports art historians, critics, and curators pursuing projects related to painting, sculpture, and allied arts from the 20th century. Stipends vary with need, with a $30,000 maximum.

Memphis Brooks Museum of Art – Kress Interpretive Fellowship
For one year, the Fellow will work with European art from the 1300s to 1800s and have the opportunity to assist with an exhibition exploring how historic art can be used to reflect on museum decolonization. The salary is $50,000.

National Parks Arts Foundation – Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park Artist in Residence
Individual artists, duos, and groups working in any medium can apply for this residency in volcano country on the Big Island in June 2024. It includes a $4,000 stipend, a studio, housing, and more. There is a $60 application fee.

National Public Housing Museum – Artist as Instigator Residency
This yearlong program leverages arts and culture to make creative public policy interventions around housing and related social justice issues. There is a $10,000 honorarium plus a $10,000 budget for project expenses.

Pulitzer Center – AI Accountability Fellowships
Six to eight journalists from anywhere in the world will receive up to $20,000 for 10-month fellowships to report on the impacts of algorithms and automated systems in their communities.

Springboard for the Arts – Rural Regenerator Fellowship
Twelve artists, culture bearers, grassroots organizers, and other changemakers from Upper-Midwestern rural communities will receive $10,000 to participate in two years of peer learning and exchange, plus another $5,000 in year two.

The Studios at MASS MoCA Residency
Situated within the museum’s factory campus in the Berkshire Mountains, the year-round program hosts up to 10 artists at a time for two- or four-week stays. The fee is $650 per week and full fellowships are available.

Wave Farm – Radio Art Fellowships
Fall 2023 and winter 2024 fellowships combine remote work with one on-site research visit and an on-site live broadcast from New York’s Upper Hudson Valley. Meant for US-based artists and radio researchers, these include $5,000 stipends.

WORTHLESSSTUDIOS Artist in Residence
From September to December 2023, five or six young career artists working in sculpture or installation will each receive $3,000 for materials, a $1,500 artist stipend, semi-private studio space in Brooklyn, and more.

Mattie Kelly Arts Center Galleries at Northwest Florida State College – 31st Annual Emerald Coast National Juried Art Exhibition
Guest juried by Maria Elena Buszek, PhD, the Best-in-Show winner will receive $1,000 and a solo show in the Holzhauer Gallery during the 2024 Emerald Coast National Exhibition. The application fee is $30 for three entries.

2023 International Poster Competition
The International Poster Competition is accepting entries from around the world. Approximately 200 posters will be featured in an online exhibition and published in a book. Prizes range between £100 and £500.

El Paso Museum of Art – 2024 Border Biennial / Bienal Fronteriza 2024
The exhibition will explore how definitions of “the border” have shaped the practices and identities of artists who live and work within 200 miles of the US-Mexico border. EPMA will select at least one work for purchase.

Mophradat – Self Organizations
This program offers $4,000–$8,000 for projects where different arts practitioners join forces to define a mutual resource or interest that’s important for their work, and propose how to share or develop it. Priority will be given to proposals taking place within the Arab world.

SPRING/BREAK Art Show – Wild Card
The curator-driven art fair seeks exhibitions for its NYC show this fall. The overarching theme is Wild Card, with sub-categories inspired by previous editions. Early applications are open, the late deadline is July 15. Fees range from $75 to $150.

Filmed by Bike – BIPOC Filmmaker Grant
Black, Indigenous, and People of Color who are emerging filmmakers at any level of experience can apply for grants of $1,500 to create short films with a strong central theme of biking.

Forman Arts Initiative x Philadelphia Foundation – Art Works
Visual and performing artists based in Greater Philadelphia who have experience working with and connection to local communities can apply for two-year grants of $25,000 per year.

Huntington Arts Council – Community Impact Micro Grants
These bimonthly grants provide nonprofit organizations or individual artists in New York’s Nassau and Suffolk counties with $1,000 to fund projects that enable local communities to experience the arts.

M&C Saatchi Group x Saatchi Gallery – Art for Change Prize
“Regeneration” is the theme of this year’s international prize for emerging artists. Along with the opportunity to exhibit their work at Saatchi Gallery in London, five winners will receive £2,000 and one will receive £10,000.

New England Foundation for the Arts – Public Art for Spatial Justice
Ranging from $15,000 to $30,000, these grants for Massachusetts-based artists or collectives aim to support public art that helps us see, feel, experience, and imagine spatial justice.

NYSCA/NYFA – Artists with Disabilities Grant
Artists with disabilities who live in New York State and who have experienced financial hardship due to the COVID-19 crisis are eligible for unrestricted $1,000 cash grants.

RedLine Contemporary Art Center – 2023 INSITE Fund
Grants of $5,000–$10,000 are available for public-facing visual arts projects that take place beyond the studio, museum, art center, or traditional gallery setting within a 115-mile radius of Denver, Colorado.

South Arts – Southern Prize and State Fellowships for Literary Arts
Awards ranging from $5,000 to $25,000 are available for literary artists and writers who live in one of nine eligible states in the US South. The genre for the 2024 cycle is Fiction.
