Paper cut portraits | Yoo Hyun

Super talented Korean artist Yoo Hyun has a unique way of creating photo-realistic portraits. We know, these just look like photographs, but in reality they’re intricate paper cuts. Using a craft knife and a pair of tweezers, the artist carefully cuts lines into sheets of white paper, also incorporating a geometric pattern, eventually making a portrait in the negative space, which looks abstract from close up but is the spitting image of various famous faces from further away. Fascinating, right? For more images, follow Yoo Hyun on Instagram or check out the artist’s Facebook page.
