As the whole world is now aware, Beyonce welcomed a new pair of twins into the world last month, and has set Instagram on fire with yet another flawless maternity photo. Nothing is ever as glamorous as it appears online, though, and a few real-life parents are proving it by staging down-to-earth photoshoots with their kids.
It all started when Irish mom Sharon Kellaway, who also recently gave birth to twins, posted her best attempt at a recreation of Queen Bey’s latest portrait. The Internet loved her brutally honest spoof on the perfect, masterfully filtered scenes that routinely earn Beyonce and other celebrities millions of likes, and it inspired other parents to plunge forward with their own Carter Family mock-ups. It’s pretty much the best thing to happen since ordinary people posed for romance novel covers.
