Nothing captures the spirit of spring quite like the sprawling tulip fields of the Netherlands. In a colorful series of flower photos, Amsterdam-based freelance photographer Bea Nagy explores the endless beauty of these world famous gardens.

In each enchanting photo, Nagy showcases the multi-colored, mosaic-like aesthetic of Holland’s beautiful tulip fields. Many of her photographs are shot from a landscape perspective. They predominantly focus on the stratified arrangements of the traditional tulip gardens, which result in the radiant, rainbow stripes characteristic of the Dutch countryside. Other pictures offer more close-up views of the blooming flowers, acting as color studies and placing emphasis on their blossoming petals. Whether a sweeping shot of the terrain or a close-range capture, the tulips’ hypnotizing hues appear to pop from each photo.
To achieve the mesmerizing floral shots, Nagy travels by bike to regions surrounding Amsterdam. She documents her dazzling adventures on Instagram, where you’ll also find photographs of the capital city’s architecture and iconic canals. Now that the sun is out and the flowers have finally bloomed, however, you can expect more photographs of tulips to come. “Spring is here,” Nagy captioned one of her first flower-y photos of the season, “so I’ll bring you loads of tulips in the next couple of days.” Be sure to check her account for more bright and breathtaking photos!
