Ready for a round of creeps and an ounce of awe? Presenting, ‘The Animal.’
The Animal is a self-portrait series in which Swedish photographer Samuel Pettersson digitally turns himself into a bizarre two-headed creature. He explains, “…these are from a self-portrait series I shot over the years when I wanted to experiment with light… [I] can’t remember really how the idea came to me, but it ended up being some kind of series. In some of them I combined it with another multiplicity series where I pose as twins…”

The photos below show Pettersson crawling on all fours, clinging onto pipes, taking naps on a bed and prowling around train yards. The Swedish photographer also posted a video titled “The making of ‘animal in the cellar’” highlighting just how he used Photoshop to do the trick. You can watch Pettersson’s process video below!
