Using only a camera, tripod, and mirror, Ari Fararooy has created a series of surreal self-portraits.
In the Joshua Tree National Park, Fararooy spent three hours creating the photos, which he said also involved some digital manipulations. The desert setting makes the special effects stand out even more, and some of the photos look like they’re right out of a science fiction film.

“The goal was to experiment with reflections and explore the various ways I could creatively photograph myself,” Fararooy explained.
