Originally started as a photo series, ‘Dogs in Cars’ is Lara Jo Regan’s collection of images featuring a number of different dogs enjoying one simple pleasure: sticking their heads out of car windows.
“Is there a dog owner in the world who does not delight in the delirium of their four-legged friend on a car ride?” she writes on her site.

To capture the photos, Regan built a special light that went over the roof of the car, along with a harness that would allow her to lean out the window to get the perfect shot.
