Photos from the Antarctic provide rare glimpse of icy blue waters

The Antarctic may be the most frozen place on the planet, but that doesn’t get in the way of it being one of the most scenic.

On her recent trip to Antarctica, Julieanne Kost attempted to capture plenty of icebergs between Black Head, Cuverville Island, and Pleneau Bay, while on a zodiac boat. Her photos the icy-blue gradations formed by icebergs jutting out of the blue seas at eye level. Some of the photos showcase natural symmetry as ice forms out of a center point in some icebergs.
