Polly Penrose: A Body of Work

A Body of Work – an ongoing series of self portraits by Polly Penrose.

‘A Body of Work’ is conceived as a lifelong project by contemporary photographer and artist Polly Penrose. Using a 10 second timer, Polly has created a wide range of self portraits during the past years. In correspondence to the respective room as well as different objects and furnishings, she shoots herself in awkward poses. This way, she creates sculptural forms out of the interaction between the environment and her naked body. Anyway, the lifelong project is intended to be an exploration of her aging body and how the poses and different locations will change over the years. A few images from her series ‘A Body of Work’ can be found below. For more, please visit Polly’s website or follow her on Instagram.
