Make art with us! These exhibition-based workshops encourage creative inspiration for different activities, so make sure to check out the corresponding galleries. No prior art-making experience is necessary; our friendly staff will happily work with you on your creation. All ages are welcome!
These workshops take place on Friday, April 5, 12, and 19.
One of the major components of culture throughout history has been food. We use food not only for nourishment, but also as a vehicle for socializing. Food accompanies us during moments spent with our loved ones, holidays, business meetings, and more. Additionally, food can provide insight into specific cultures and regions.
In April, we will explore Dining with the Sultan: The Fine Art of Feasting and reflect on important dishes from our cultures. What colors come to mind? What are the key ingredients? Are there specific utensils required? By exploring these questions, you’ll create a piece of art that depicts the ingredients, utensils, or the dish itself that holds significance in your culture. Taught by artist Bianca Argueta.
Masks are recommended in galleries. No food or drink in the galleries.
