No prior art-making experience is necessary; our friendly staff will happily work with you on your creation. All ages are welcome!
Music is an important aspect of our human experience. Throughout time, countless ideas have cross-pollinated between musicians and artists. Piet Mondrian, for example, took jazz as a source of inspiration to create abstract geometric works. This month, we will be looking at artists who have worked with geometric abstraction and use our favorite song as inspiration. We’ll think about how these songs make us feel and learn how we can use color and space to create an artwork that reflects that.
