On August 19th, Library Street Collective will be opening a solo show from AJ Fosik (featured) entitled From Ripe to Rot. Inspired by city he was born in, the Motor City’s continued evolution, transformation, and reinvention fuels the ideas behind this new body of work featuring his intricate wood assemblages. Fosik’s practice is informed by folk art, taxidermy, and cultural rituals which can be seen in the three dimensional beasts he creates as well in the newer more contained compositional pieces.
