Coming up next month (May 10th), Mesa Contemporary Art Museum will be opening Petrichor, a mid career retrospective dedicated to the dark and surreal vision of Esao Andrews. Featuring 20 iconic paintings contributed by collectors around the world, the showing from the Mesa, Arizona native will also include never seen before pieces, 70 skatedecks he has designed in the past, as well as a site specific mural. Accompanying the exhibition will be Andrews’ debut monograph coming in at a whopping 296 pages highlighting over 240 works since 2001.
