On August 19th, Booth Gallery in New York will be opening a new solo show from Ronit Baragna entitled Embraced. The disturbing sculptures that the Israeli artist has prepared for the exhibition consist of her instantly recognizable tableware erupting with human fingers and mouths. The playful yet provocative pieces attempt to blur the lines between the inanimate and the alive, bringing to mind a scene from a surreal and macabre tea party.
