Prosthetic Arm Inspired by "Star Wars" Enables Amputee to Feel Again

Keven Walgamott, who lost his part of his left arm 17 years ago in an electrical accident, now has a new prosthetic arm that allows him to touch and feel so well that he can pick up an egg without breaking it. Gregory Clark of the University of Utah led the team that developed the LUKE Arm, named in honor of Luke Skywalker, that mimics the way a natural human hand sends signals to the brain.
