Daan Botlek creates wall murals with anonymous figures interacting with the physical environment in creative ways.
The Rotterdam-based artist plays with positive, negative space and scale in striking ways featuring faceless figures doing all kinds of quirky things like trying to walk on floating boulders and defying gravity. Incorporating geometric elements, shadows, an architectural elements, the artist uses textures to add depth to the silhouetted characters.
