Welsh miners used to make their own fireworks to celebrate important occasions, which mainly consisted of sticking gunpowder into holes. These were called rock cannons. Tom Scott shows us how they worked. What could possibly go wrong? Please don’t try detonating a rock cannon yourself, unless you have a test range and an expert explosive engineer.
