Illustrator Zachary Scott created a stunning group of works for a recent New York Times article What if Age Is Nothing but a Mind-Set?. The pieces show toddlers mimicking those who are more advanced in their years. From their outfits, to their facial expressions, to their posture— the children in the images accurately capture the feel and look of the elderly.
The illustrations are an intelligent, visual companion to the story about reverse aging and the mind-body connection. And yet, with the many children’s Halloween photos circulating on the internet, how did Scott create such striking images? The answer: a combination of prosthetics, make-up, and post production.
