But RyanAir pilot Michelle Gooris is getting attention on Instagram because the photos she posts to her account DutchPilotGirl make the life of a commercial pilot seem like a high-flying affair.

The 25-year-old pilot from Amsterdam shares photos as well as tips on her favorite restaurants and stops she makes along the way as she travels around the world for a living:
“I have been told that I’m not your average pilot but I love my job and the places it takes me. The amazing locations I get to visit are just a bonus,” Gooris told the Mirror. “People think from looking at my Instagram that I’m on holiday all time but it’s not all about lying on beaches,” she said. “Flying a passenger jet is hard work and takes a lot of concentration, after all, you have a lot of responsibility on your shoulders.”
