Seoul to Build World's Largest Hubless Ferris Wheel

Are skyscrapers losing their luster as brag-worthy international objects? The Seoul Metropolitan Government has announced they’re building, as an international attraction and object of wonder, the world’s largest hubless ferris wheel.

Listen beautiful relax classics on our Youtube channel.

The Seoul Ring will be sited at Seoul’s Haneul Park, will stand 180 meters (591 feet) tall and will reportedly be operated by renewable energy. The technical details haven’t been released, but it appears the carriages will be pods that ride on an enclosed track:

Startlingly, at least for those of you who don’t read Ferris Wheel Weekly, this isn’t even the world’s first hubless ferris wheel. China’s Bohai Eye (below) claims that distinction, having been erected in 2018 in Shandong Province.

Alas for Shandongians, the Bohai Eye tops out at 135 meters (476 feet) tall, yielding 45 meters to the Seoul Ring, which is expected to be completed by 2027.

Perhaps we’re at the dawn of a new, weird international pissing contest, this time with circles rather than phalluses.
