Local reporter Philip Calder had to cover the storm’s damage, and that’s when he came across the shark. He said that a river near where the predator was found is “full of bull sharks”, so locals never swim there. According to the International Shark Attack File, a bull shark is one of the most dangerous species to humans and is known for a high number of attacks.

“Because they prefer to live in shallow waters such as river mouths, bays, and estuaries, they come in frequent (and dangerous) contact with humans,” the website states.

The shark is said to be the talk of the town with many locals coming to touch it. Well, hold on there, Aussies!
