Rare Volume is a design and technology studio based in New York City. They frequently work with brands, agencies, and institutions to create environments, events, and digital platforms with a focus on user experience thinking, broadcast-style motion graphics, data visualization, custom software development, and inventive applications of technology.
For the technologically-driven SK-II Future X Smart Stores, Rare Volume was commissioned to design and produce a series of interactive portrait installations for six locations throughout Asia and the United States. Using high-resolution cameras along with custom analysis and graphics software, the interactive experience provides real-time responses to visitors’ emotions for the global beauty brand’s innovative retail, pop-up, and event network.
