South American folktale-inspired acrylic portraits by Olaf Hajek

South American folklore, legends, and religion come together blissfully in Olaf Hajek‘s portraits.

The Berlin-based artist depicts women and men juxtaposed with pops of colors, geometry, and  various elements of South American mythology. Often playing with the hairdos of his characters, Hajek’s illustrations are made using acrylic on wood and cardboard.
