Rachel Dein preserves the goodness of spring veggies in plaster casts. Before applying layers of plaster, Dein creates detailed moulds of flowers, vegetables, and foliage in clay. The hardened clay easily peels away leaving behind a relief in which a silicon rubber mould is poured for casting, often resulting in different shades of white, green, or blue. Dein runs an Etsy shop where many of her new sculptures are available for purchase.
