This Halloween-worthy severed head is more than just your average creepy sculpture. Toy designer and animator Isak Åkerlund has animated the decay of the head which transforms from a droopy old face, to muscle, to bones, in seconds. Throughout the animation the sculpture maintains a brilliant sense of evolving fluidness, looking very much alive, but its grey color keeps it firmly among the dead.
The strangest part of the stop-motion animation, titled ‘Clayhead,’ is when he blinks at you repeatedly. Have a look at the weird animation for yourself below.
