With smartphones, tablets and laptops from competing manufacturers looking ever-more similar, it will probably be tech-driven form factor improvements that become the design differentiators. “I believe form factor innovation is a very dynamic space,” says Luca Rossi, President of Lenovo’s Intelligent Devices Group.

You may remember that Samsung recently demonstrated something similar, and that other companies are also developing their own versions. With any luck, it will be a matter of time before we can enjoy the ease-of-use conferred by a larger screen without having to carry so much bulk.
