While on their honeymoon in the summer of 2016, Cold Picnic’s Phoebe Sung and Peter Buer fell in love with the surrounding scenery of Formentera, one of the Balearic Islands in the western Mediterranean Sea. Upon their return to Brooklyn, the duo continually revisited their dreamy, adventurous memories whenever things got tough, which eventually led to their latest collection of rugs, entitled Take Me Back to Formentera. They snapped photos along the way while exploring the island, and those frozen memories became their visual library of inspiration. For those of us that can’t visit the island, we can take a little piece of it home in the form of these bold abstract rugs which are available for purchase in various sizes here.
