“It’s all about not just doing, but understanding why this happens and how this happens and understanding how all the pieces come together.” This group of high school students has been participating in The Tech Challenge, presented by EMC, since 2013. This is their story.
A signature program of The Tech Museum of Innovation, The Tech Challenge is an annual program that inspires the next generation of Silicon Valley innovators. It invites teams of students in Grades 4-12 to use engineering design to solve a real-world problem. The Tech Challenge program reinforces 21st century skills including creativity, problem solving, design, teamwork, leadership, presentation, risk-taking, perseverance and learning from failure.
