Crafty and clever, Melbourne-based textile artist Alli Parker of Hart & Crafts creates cuddly crochet versions of her local wildlife. In her series of Australian animals, Parker presents a thematic selection of “pieces made with love for you to love to pieces.”

Made entirely by hand and composed of cotton and wool yarn, each Aussie animal is a one-of-a-kind companion and ideal snuggle buddy. The collection is predominantly composed of Australia’s most iconic creatures, like cute kangaroos (complete, of course, with joeys nestled in their pouches), cuddly koalas, and lovable sea turtles. In addition to these well-known wild things, however, Parker also crochets some of the continent’s more underrated inhabitants. From adorable owls to surprisingly sweet and spiny anteaters, Parker’s series captures the diversity of Australia’s animal kingdom in an adorably stylized way.
On top of her quirky collection of Australian animals, Parker also crochets a range of other creatures—including bunnies, hippos, and even unicorns—as well as blankets and accessories.
