New York based photographer Daniel Zvereff recently purchased the last existing stock of expired Kodak Aerochrome 120 film and took it to the Arctic for a photo shoot. The result is an amazing series of images using the old film with a unique aesthetic. Aerochrome 120 is a discontinued infrared film developed for the military and used to detect camouflaged objects. The film turns greens and browns into magenta and bright blue.
The film tints the arctic landscape pink, purple and blue and creates an other-worldly feel to an already beautiful place. His works highlights a landscape that with global warming and the expansion of mining, may not be around much longer.
