British artist Lucy Glendinning has created a series of works that plant themselves in the mind’s eye. The ‘Feather Child’ series has an ethereal or otherworldly feel to it. More than just the tactile texture of the feathers themselves, the gesture of the forms and the detail of these pieces invite the viewer into a story.
“The feathered children are embodied questions,” states gallery curator Linda Dobke about Glendinning’s work. Dobke identifies the suite to be derived from Glendinning’s “fascination with visions of a future society.”
