The big glass pyramid outside Musée du Louvre in Paris just disappeared. Or at least as appeared to disappear.
French street artist JR, as part of a public art project called “JR au Louvre”, covered the glass pyramid with a large skewed panoramic photograph of surrounding buildings. This marvellously camouflaged the structure giving the optical illusion of it vanishing. The artist is renowned for large-scale public flypostings of black and white photographs of people’s faces.
