I was looking for something along "you get what you pay for" and "fast, good, cheap – pick two out of three" – don’t ask – and came across this gem:

"The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten"

which turns out to be a quote by Benjamin Franklin.
