The LIVE/WORK Collection Welcomes a New Era of Life

Collaborations with leading and up-and-coming designers are a big part of Established & Sons’ DNA, and they recently introduced two fresh faces to their roster of talent via the LIVE/WORK collection. Created as a response to blurred lines between work and home, each piece in the series lends itself to a wide array of spaces and flexibility.

“The unprecedented shift from office to home office that has taken place will change the landscape of work,” said Established & Sons’ design director Sebastian Wrong. “Now more than ever, the design of our home working spaces can make a big difference to our creativity and our ability to focus. We want to remove as many barriers as we can to enable people to create distinctive and individual live/work spaces that are a joy to be in.”

Sabine Marcelis’ expertise lies in cast translucent materials, such as the Aura Light. Its suspended cylindrical bar can work alone or as part of a grouping. Over a meter in length, the design is made from a bio-epoxy resin, formulated using by-products from the agricultural industry. A replaceable glass LED tube lives within the colored resin case to create a warm glow of soft ambient light.

The Bloc side tables flip the idea of color on its head by using it as a material. Pauline Deltour’s designs are based on the idea of turning a two-dimensional picture into a three-dimensional object. Different tones and shades create a hyper-real, hand-drawn cube. Hidden inside the plywood structure is a drawer that’s been disguised by exterior color panels. Available in three sizes, the design is super versatile and can add playfulness to the home or the office.

Light yet substantial and supportive, Sebastian Wrong’s Lucio Chair is generously sized and comfortable. Its high back offers support in a graphic silhouette, while a reclined position works well at work or home. Sprung webbing shapes to the user for extra comfort, while the foam and fabric body connects to its tubular steel frame with a textile or leather cover.
