Fantini’s newest collection is making us reminisce about geometry lessons during elementary school. Designed by Marco Williams Fagioli, the O-XY series of designer faucet taps is inspired by the Cartesian coordinate system (the term x-axis and y-axis might jog your memory). The geometric linearity of the system is reflected in the O-XY’s narrow shapes and slim silhouettes.

Fagioli shares that Vitruvius, the ancient Roman engineer and architect, described cranes that lift and lower heavy loads as machines that sped up work. “O-XY’s proportions are thus inspired by machines that speed up work in architecture,” he says. The sleek and streamlined design, void of any embellishments other than a texturized interwoven pattern on the handle, is as perfectly minimalist as it gets in a faucet tap. Made for contemporary bathroom and kitchen spaces, the O-XY collection is architectural ingenuity that can be felt in daily use.
