What does Milan Iluminación’s new Symphony Collection look like to you – a sunhat, a flying saucer, or something else entirely? The lighting group’s name makes sense once you learn that the series is meant to resemble a small orchestra of percussion and diffused light. Designed by Jordi Pla, the rotating glass lampshade directs the light to shrink in size or grow larger to fill a space. The lampshades employ a magnetized system, creating a magnetic field that enables the screen to rotate around it via ball joint.

Made of steel, the Symphony Collection is both extruded and stamped during the manufacturing process, while shades are made using spinning aluminum. The light-diffusing shade is made of a glossy opal blown glass.
The Symphony Collection is available in four styles: upright, wall light, high desktop, and low desktop. Choose from three colors and three finishes: mink lacquer, charcoal gray, and metallic copper to suit the space.
