Beth Galton is a studio photographer who shoots for advertising agencies, design companies and editorial magazines. Her focus has always been still life, but her most recent photo series, ‘Cut Food’ is drawing a lot of attention for the unique way it views the things we eat.
Galton, along with food stylist Charlotte Omnes, took every day meals like stuffed turkey, a bucket of popcorn and even mashed potatoes, dissected them and photographed the foods’ cross sections. The resulting series really makes you view your food in a different and thoughtful way, elevating mere advertising photos to the level of art.
