Unfortunately for all the geeks out there, Halloween and Comic Con have passed, but on a good note, we are here to satisfy your need for a daily dose of cosplay. There still are exciting places on the internet, where cosplay never stops and we can enjoy jaw-dropping transformations all year round. For instance, the Instagram account of this 4-year-old rising queen of dress-up. With the help of her mother Judite Barros, Maria Eduarda from Brazil, known as Duda’s Universe on social media, has been turning into adorable tiny versions of our favorite pop culture icons.
It all started in November of 2015, when the girl‘s aunt bought her a lightsaber and a ballerina skirt. And we owe the thoughtful aunt for the inspiration – since then, this creative mother-daughter duo has created over 120 unforgettable looks. And here are our favorites!

Maria and her mom draw inspiration from various pop culture products we know and love. Among the transformations we can find not only playful Pixar and Disney cartoon characters, which is totally expected from a 4-year-old growing up in the 21st century, but also iconic protagonists and villains from movies that have become classics, such as “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”, “Pulp Fiction”, “Star Wars” and “Grease”, which are probably mom’s influence. In fact, it seems that they take all possible tastes into consideration when coming up with ideas – they recreated looks from the biggest TV shows in their genres, such as Game of Thrones, Stranger Things and Big Bang Theory. And with the number of characters and celebrities out there, opportunities for creating many more fascinating looks are endless.

Creating, modeling and photographing a variety of costumes can be beneficial for imagination and creativity, especially in a young and developing mind. Maria has already mastered some killer poses that take uncomplicated costumes to another level and turn them into epic overall looks. We fondly remember the times our mothers handmade us costumes for Halloween or school plays, so imagine the joy of having that occasion even more often? Crafting the costumes together and capturing charismatic photos has become Maria’s and her mother’s ‘special’ thing. It’s what we call quality mother-daughter time… and a clever way to keep a child away from technology for a short moment while giving them a creative outlet they can truly enjoy.

The girl’s mom Judite and dad Ricardo occasionally join the little model in a shot, also wearing a costume and those are the most adorable family pics! By joining her child in a cosplay, parents set an example that expressing your affection for a favorite character and showcasing your geeky nature can be completely enjoyable and even plausible.
