There’s no place quite like New York City where so many people of different cultures, ethnic backgrounds, and lifestyles can be found.
For illustrator Jason Polan, living in NYC spelled an opportunity to challenge himself to draw every single person. He’s been at it since March 2008 and has just released his first book, “Every Person in New York Volume 1”, a collection of his drawings. And there are lots of them!
Given the sheer population of New York, Polan estimates that it will take him nearly 79 years to draw everyone, that’s if he spends 5 minutes on drawing one figure. Check out some drawings taken from his book below and visit his blog for regular additions.
