Maria Jose Garcia is a Spanish photographer and shop owner of an online crochet store. Her formal education was mainly in History of Art and Photography but she eventually focused on the latter. Born and raised in Valencia, Spain but currently based in San Sebastian, Garcia learned to make crochets from her mother at a young age. Her love for handcrafts continued to grow so she launched an online shop called Absenta Accessories on Etsy in 2013.
Her style in photography is mostly inspired by her background in the history of art and influences like nature, romanticism, sensuality, and mysticism. Obviously, her skills in photography help her business a lot as she is able to show the crochet collars and accessories in a different light.
