Designed by Seattle- and Brooklyn-based Ladies & Gentlemen Studio, the Myrna lighting collection brings a new form to define intimate spaces and add warmth and dimension through light. The collection came about through a collaborative commission with designer Giancarlo Valle, who had a simple yet complex request: “Challenge the traditional chandelier archetype while defining the dining space of his open loft home.”

Myrna’s key feature is its broad shade, which was inspired by actress Myrna Loy’s signature floppy hats. L&G recreated the shape by adding a slight bend to the material at hand, whether it’d be perforated aluminum, brass, stainless steel, or the studio’s new bent glass which has a unique, translucent materiality that appears almost stone-like. The tinted glass globe adds warmth, inviting visitors into the cozy, softly illuminated space.
