With Easter right around the corner it’s time to start the age-old tradition of drilling 3 to 5 thousand holes in an egg forming intricate designs. What, that’s not how you do it?
Artist Franc Grom is putting a whole new spin on the Easter egg, handcrafting designs into real eggs with not much more than a drill and a pin. Each egg can take weeks of work with Grom crafting as long as his concentration will tolerate. His eggs are a take on traditional Slovenian designs, and show at local museums and forums around the world. He also sells his pieces online for a tidy sum.
