This Paris dormitory is filled with artwork made by 100 street artists

As part of the street art festival Rehab 2, Lyon-based art collective Bitume gathered one hundred street artists to adorn every level of La Maison des Arts et Metiers in Paris with their own unique artwork. The dormitory will soon be renovated, and this has given the artists a great opportunity in showcasing each of their creations.

Because of the art installation, the building has transformed into a walkthrough art gallery with colorful and amazing graffiti art. There was no age limit; everyone was encouraged to participate and bring their own work to the table. In fact, works of artists as old as 70 years old graze the building’s walls. According to Hugo di Carlo, a member of Bitume, “artists had free rein in the building. They painted floors, ceilings, walls, stairs, everything. For them, it is a way to show what they can achieve when they have time and means. And the result is amazing.”
