The saying that “sex sells” is certainly called to task with a new product launched by Taos, New Mexico artist, Justin Crowe. Currently in development as a Kickstarter, the project is cheekily named Paul: The Sexiest Smartphone Charger on the Planet.
The handmade classical torso sculpture bridges old-school art history with hi-tech digital functionality. The charging station mounts the phone onto the sculpture’s crotch, provoking obvious phallic metaphors. And the power supply for this racy charging station, oh my word, is a retractable cord pulled from the sculpture’s arse – a “butt plug.”

Produced using alternative materials that mimic the carved marble of the ancient Greeks, these pieces are made using lightweight foam that is encased in smooth white plastic.
