Outdoor rug design hasn’t progressed too far in recent years with mostly basic options available to choose from. But like indoors, our outdoor spaces aren’t necessarily boring and basic so why should the rug be? Brazilian outdoor brand Tidelli has developed an online simulator that allows you to create your own custom outdoor rug made of nautical rope that doesn’t have to be boring. The simulator is ridiculously easy to use and it gives your tons of options, starting with shape (round or square/rectangular), then size (anything you want), number of colors (56!), an option of two styles, and even a choice in borders (if it’s square or rectangular). When you’re done choosing, it pulls together a composite of what the rug will look like. If you like it and want to buy it, you fill in your info and you’ll be contacted to place an order. Not quite happy with it? Hit the back button and tweak it until you are. The options are endless, which you’ll see when you dive into the simulator. I played around with it and couldn’t stop coming up with new ideas, some of which you’ll see below.
